A thousand years ago, people in China will celebrate the birth of the flowers in March. We call it “花朝節”. People celebrate it by planting flowers, compose a poem for flowers, eat special food made by flowers, admire the beauty of flowers, also some of the area girls will stick the flowers in the hair and boys will vote the beauty queen that day. It is a day for dating and going outside to meet friends.
Rarely people still celebrate this festival in China today, but no matter how, people love flowers and spring like me, together with Japanese conversation group, we finally decided to do something for flowers birthday just for fun: ) All Yale communities are welcome! Join us just for fun! |
